A Lifetime of Knowledge

Words can hardly express the deep and sincere gratitude that I feel as I reflect on the life and memory of a true stalwart, a patriotic son of the soil, a vociferous voice of reason and a loyal friend. Sharing is Caring

Mr. Burrowes or CB as he was affectionately called by all who knew him was a jovial, kind, caring person who lived a full life. He took great pleasure in sharing not just his meals, but fruits and vegetables from his home garden and more so advice. He had a passion for young people and often engaged my daughter in conversations about her career goals. He valued hard work and desired success not only for himself but for all who came into his circle of influence. For the few years that we

Easy Going

It was in Washington DC in the 70s that I met “CB” as he was lovingly called. We became very good friends and I could not have asked for a better friend, who was very helpful, kind and he was such a joy to be around. He was a very easy going person, but what I loved most about him was his ability to keep us laughing even if you were sad. His friendship was a blessing and will be missed beyond measure! RIP CB.

Special Place

My friend CB was always willing to offer a helping hand. When playing his piano, he felt happy and grand. Taking one's problem to CB would bring relief as one would leave in good spirit. Smart, funny and kind was he, as a tutor he advised, " go pass the exam, you can do it." Occasionally when tipsy he would warn anyone who offended him by saying "be careful or you might have to visit the O.R. to remove my foot from a part of your anatomy.” Rest in peace my friend, God has a special place for you
